I'm not a fan of veggie meats because they're usually just overly-processed bullsh*t that I don't want to put into my body anyway, but someone's question here prompted me to ask this: if they're sold for the same price, why do companies like Boca and Morningstar Farms make items that have milk/egg in them? For example, Boca makes two veggie burgers, one of which is vegan. They cost the same price for the same amount, so why on earth would they make the non-vegan one anyway? I understand that some veggie meats include cheeses, and that's all well and good...but my question is for ones that just include egg or milk powder as a binder. They make vegan ones so they can clearly produce their items without eggs/milk.
Thanks and namaste. _()_Veggie Meats...Why Do They Do This?
you do have a good point there. And I actually try to buy the vegan ones since I put so much other stuff on it that I cant tell the difference from the taste of the vegan one or any of the non-vegan ones.
No idea but I %26lt;3 spicy bean burgers.
You do have a point there but maybe some people just prefer them with eggs or milk.Veggie Meats...Why Do They Do This?
I think that there isn't a really high demand for vegan products yet, or if there is, Boca and Morningstar Farms don't realize it. There are far more lacto-ovos than vegans, but I think more and more people are going vegan and soon we will start to see more vegan products being sold.
I wonder if the kind that includes eggs and milk powder provide more protein. Some people follow a vegetarian diet for health reasons and they might be more concerned with nutrition than animal products.Veggie Meats...Why Do They Do This?
good question. i don't eat them too much either so idk the prices.
i would suspect that the dairy industry funds these companies and as long as they keep dairy and eggs in some of their products, it will offset the price of the vegan products
Why do Vegans insist on calling vegetable patties "vegi meat" you wont eat meat don't call it meat!
Duh! Because some of use aer lacto-ovo vegetarians.
