Breakfast has never been my favorite meal of the day, but recently I've been trying to make sure I eat it every day. However, I typically have the same thing every morning, and it's getting dull. Generally, I have a bagel, egg whites, and either "sausage patties" or "bacon strips" from MorningStar Farms.
I don't have a lot of time most mornings, generally under 15 minutes to cook breakfast. However, if I could cook something in advance and just reheat it, that could work.Bland breakfasts... Help me spice it up?
When I was eating cheese, I made a really lazy juevos rancheros.
I just scrambled eggs with salsa and a little bit of pepper. I would heat up a corn tortilla, add the scrambled eggs, and top with some cheese. It is good also if you have leftover refried beans. I also love oatmeal with a little bit of margarine and brown sugar, maybe even some milk or soymilk.
Too bad you don't live in Texas, those Breakfast Burritos we have are heaven I tell you what. Anything from potatoes, eggs, peppers of all sorts, onions, chorizo, guisado, and bacon! It's real easy to make, and with those you need of course, tortillas, yummy, and put some salsa on it to finish it off, and you got some yummy stuff....here's some recipes.
Just search, and you'll find plenty, the bottom on is some pics.Bland breakfasts... Help me spice it up?

I have never been a breakfast eater either, Lately I've been make fruit smoothies in the morning, the fact that I am getting 4-5 servings of fruit right off the bat has kept me motivated, and If I do not have time, I put it in a travel mug and take it to school. My Favourite is 2 cups frozen mixed berries, I cup of orange juice.Bland breakfasts... Help me spice it up?
I eat oatmeal and add to it:
Blueberries and cinnamon
Maple syrup and cinnamon
butter and salt (weird but sometimes I want salt)
Apples, cinnamon and brown sugar
etc etc
I hated oatmeal, but it's good for you, I eat it for that reason alone
Why don't you switch things up a bit?
You could have some quick oatmeal, topped with almonds and blueberries and a glass of soymilk!
Perfect combination of carbs/protein and it will keep you fuller than a bagel does :)
I like yogurt with any type of berries, some nuts and a piece of whole wheat toast. It's yummy and only takes a minute to throw together.
Dress your egg whites with your favorite salsa
Add some spices to your food, eat cereal, oatmeal, muffins, toast...all relatively quick to eat.
