What are the best foods that are healthy and keep you full?

I am wondering what foods are the healthiest and keep you full the longest. I don't eat red meat and I don't like to eat chicken that much. (I am trying to become vegetarian, although i'll still eat seafood). I eat a lot of vegetarian alternatives from morningstar farms, quorn, and the vegetarian/ vegan enchilada's found in stop%26amp;shop made by amy's. I also try to eat 2-3 pieces of fruit a day. I usually eat a salad every night, and some vegetables, but other than that I am not very good at eating that many vegetables.

Can anyone recommend good carbs in certain foods and the nutritional value of everything fruit and vegetable (maybe place a link in your answer?)

I also always eat those hostess chocolate creme filled cupcakes, are there anyways to get rid of those cravings?

Also any recommendations on good healthy snacks?

Sorry this is so long, but my parents aren't exactly the healthiest people.

Also, why is it bad to eat after 7:00 p.m. and before 6:00 a.m.?

Thanks! What are the best foods that are healthy and keep you full?
As said before, foods high in protein keep you fuller, longer. Foods with high fiber content, such as whole grain foods, fruits, and vegetables, have roughly the same effect. For vegetables, I love to munch on carrots or celery dipped in peanut butter. Other healthy snacks include a handful of nuts, a bowl of healthy cereal (cheerios are my favorite), apples drizzled with honey, and low-fat cheese.

Okay, here's how to get rid of those cravings. Whenever you crave one, eat something else, such as one of the healthy snacks I just mentioned. Another strategy is to keep your hands busy. Exercise would obviously be the best option, but play video games if you have to. The good thing about this is, you only have to keep it up for about 6 weeks. After a while, if your body no longer consumes a food, it stops craving it. So if you can not eat one for about 6 weeks, the cycle should be broken.

Ignore those time restraints. The point is, you shouldn't eat within 3 hours before you go to sleep. I guess someone assumed that everyone goes to bed at 10. And completely ignore the other tidbit. It's healthiest for a person to eat within the first hour that they're awake. It helps speed up their metabolism for the day.

Good luck! What are the best foods that are healthy and keep you full?
Any food that is high in protein or in fiber will help to keep you full. Good high-protein foods include chicken, turkey, any seafood, or soy products. Seafood and soy products are very good choices for you (you said you will not being eating any poultry or red meat) as they are low in calories and high in protein.

High fiber foods include any fruits or veggies, as well as whole grains, such as whole wheat bread and brown rice. What are the best foods that are healthy and keep you full?
Fibrous foods work best.

It's bad to eat between 7pm and 6am because if you sleep with that stuff in your stomach it is just going to sit in there and ache pretty much.
