Mock Meat?

Have any one tried Mock meat if so I have a few questions

Also have any tried Lightlife Smart Menu Chick鈥檔 Strips.did you like.

I also heard Morningstar Farms are really good.Is that true to youMock Meat?
Some of my favorite mock meats are Nate's Meatless Meatballs, Tofurkey Deli Slices, Boca Chik'n Patties, and Morningstar Farms Meal Starters Chik'n Strips. I haven't tried the Lightlife chik'n strips.

Yes they are fantastic. My favorite is the soy bacon from moringstar. I will use those and wrap them up in a spinach tortilla with tomato and avacado...Yum! Very good and healthy choice!Mock Meat?
Morningstar farms bacon, sausage and chickn patties are good. Quorn roast is good if you rub it in vegetable oil and some spices, wrap it in foil and roast it...kind of tastes like turkey.



You can find recipes to make your own seitan or "wheat meat" by taking high gluten wheat flour, adding veggie broth and spices and roasting it, turning it over about every half hour to absorb the broth. You can also use whole wheat flour, you just have to rinse it and knead it to rinse out the starch leaving the gluten (with the protein).

The morning-star farms, are not too bad, You can create allot of recipes with Boca burgers. They have allot of recipes on Kraft food.com. Not bad tasting either.Mock Meat?
Morning star is my favorite.
The only mock meat brands i have ever had are Morning Star and Boca and they are both very good brands.
Um, I don't know the brand. The only kind of mock meats I eat are from Taiwan and some from China, and some made locally, fresh -- made from gluten (seitan, in Japanese). They come frozen, in cans, or as I said, freshly made.



Never heard of Lightlife.

I have heard of and tried Yves Veggie Cuisine mock meats. They are very good -- but do not fit in with our cooking style, and they are very expensive for our budget.
Quorn is good
I am a vegan and sometimes like to eat mock meat. One of my absolute favorites is seitan, which a lot of chinese places use in order to make a mock general tso chicken platter. In my opinion, this tastes most like real chicken in taste and texture. Please view the source list to view a little more about seitan.



I have not tried the two brands you've described, but my sister has and she likes them both. A lot of the mock meats taste just like the real thing, especially when in a sandwich or paired with something else.

Personally I like boca because a lot of their products are vegan friendly. I love boca's chick'n products. I haven't had the lightlife stuff, but I'e read/heard good things.



Morningstar farms tastes good, but isn't vegan friendly a lot of the time, if that's a concern. The one product of theirs I had in my pre-vegan days that was terrible was their mock bacon.
