Has anyone ever tried MorningStar Farms soy crumbles?

Hi Everyone! I'm 20 and I've been Vegetarian now for about 2 months. I love it! But here lately, I've been craving home cooked tacos. My Mother makes the best tacos in my opinion! I was walking the frozen aisle yesterday and noticed a huge selection of MorningStar Farms Soy Products. I don't eat much soy products but I was wondering, has anyone tried the Soy Crumbles? I was thinking about making tacos Friday night. Any ideas?

Thanks!Has anyone ever tried MorningStar Farms soy crumbles?
Yes, I've tried the Morningstar Farms soy crumbles. In my opinion, they are disgusting. Most Morningstar products are delicious, but this is one of their exceptions. Their griller's vegan burger is my favorite frozen veggie burger.

However, Boca ground crumbles and Light life ground crumbles are delicious. I would use those, if I were you.

If you're not into eating soy, try some Quorn vegetarian products. They have the best imitation poultry I've ever tried. Their naked cutlets, "wings", and "burgers" are really good. They also have a vegetarian roast that can be eaten on holidays or any other occasion.

Quorn products are made with mushrooms and pea fiber and can be found at Whole Food stores, as well as some supermarkets that carry organic foods.

If you didn't already know, Burgerking has a BK Veggie burger, and Subway has a Veggie Patty Sub(not to be confused with the veggie delite; these are two different sandwiches).
You mean the artificial hamburger, it is not as good as Grillers and you can crumble them up to.

They are okay, but put olive oil in the pan, fry onions, garlic and any other vegetable you put in your tacos. Some use cut up mushrooms, which I thought was different.

Then the taco sauce and you do not know your not eating hamburger, and it has few carbs and you can buy the low carb tortillas. If you are watching your weight.

Then top it with lettuce, tomato, grated cheese, salsa or how ever you make tacos.

So you can count calories and carbs and still be a vegetarian.Has anyone ever tried MorningStar Farms soy crumbles?
I had them a while back when they were vegan and honestly they were ok but nothing that good ole' TVP and spices couldn't do way cheaper. However now they have cruelty and abuse (eggs) in their crumbles and they have probably gotten worse.

For taco "meat" take an onion and bell peppers and dice them up small saut茅 in some oil with chili powder, smoked paprika, cumin, salt, dried cilantro then add TVP and veggie broth with soy sauce (or better yet water and Not-Beef bullion instead) some of the Wizard vegan worcestershire sauce and a small can of tomato paste and some hot sauce and cook for 10 minutes on medium heat till the TVP is soaked up all the liquid and then serve and enjoy.

You can also use this recipe (which is similar but has amounts):

I've tried Morning Star Farms Crumbles and was very pleased. When I made tacos, I used the prepackaged taco seasoning mix and it turned out great. Yes, use corn tortillas, onion %26amp; bell pepper.Has anyone ever tried MorningStar Farms soy crumbles?
Yes..they are pretty decent. I just follow the taco seasoning package when cooing the crumbles. You dont need to use crumbles or fake meat for tacos though..you can use lentils too = )
They're pretty decent. They're definitely better with salsa and all the taco toppings though.
